Hi, I’m Lesley! In 2014, I made what felt like a crazy decision at the time—I traded my desk for doggies. After years of running a web design business from beside my pantry, my body was telling me something had to change. I’d always dreamed of working with animals, and I finally decided it was now or never to follow my heart into pet care.
I started VIPets in 2015, and honestly, these past ten years outdoors with amazing dogs have completely transformed my life. What began as one-on-one dog walks has evolved into a specialised service focusing on reactive and senior dogs—those special pups who need a bit of extra understanding and patience.
My journey into pet care actually started back in 2007 when I spent two years house and pet sitting across Australia and Canada. That experience taught me so much about caring for pets in their own homes and understanding their unique personalities and needs. Now, I bring that same heart-centred approach to every furry friend in my care here in Christchurch.
I believe pets deserve to be treated like the cherished family members they are. That’s why I’ve made it my mission to provide professional, personalised care that gives pet parents complete peace of mind.
